Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-04-26. This policy describes how Fika Meet (“we,” “us”) collects and uses personal data.
Who we are
Fika Meet is a marketplace for paid one-on-one meetings with vetted professionals. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@fikameet.com.
What we collect
- Account identity: name, email, avatar URL, LinkedIn-provided profile info (headline, company, verification status), and a public username.
- Professional profile (for hosts): bio, domain, rate, meeting type, location text, Stripe Connect account reference, availability rules.
- Bookings: participant IDs, timestamps, meeting type, the note the requester included with the request, status, Stripe PaymentIntent reference.
- Messages and reviews: content you type into the per-booking chat and the rating + comment you leave after a meeting.
- Authentication data: session cookies, provider tokens from LinkedIn OIDC (used only at sign-in to read verification status; not stored long-term).
Why we collect it
- To let you sign in and keep your session alive.
- To show professionals to guests and bookings to their participants.
- To process payments and payouts via Stripe, with a 10% platform fee on each captured booking.
- To send transactional email (booking requested, accepted, declined, cancelled, completed) via Resend.
- To display a “Verified on LinkedIn” badge when a user has completed LinkedIn’s identity verification.
Who we share it with
- Supabase hosts our database and handles auth.
- Stripe processes payments and holds Connect-account payout data.
- LinkedIn provides OIDC sign-in and returns verification status via its public API.
- Resend delivers transactional email.
- Other Fika Meetusers see only the public fields on your profile and, if you’ve booked a meeting together, the content of that shared booking (messages, reviews, status).
We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers at this time.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in (set by Supabase during OAuth) and to remember your cookie-consent choice. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and booking data are retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we cancel any outstanding bookings (triggering refunds on paid-but-not-yet- captured PaymentIntents) and remove your profile and associated rows. Stripe retains transaction records independently for its own regulatory purposes.
Your rights
Under GDPR and equivalent regulations you can access, correct, or delete your personal data. Editing happens at /dashboard/profile. Account deletion is available from the same page. Contact support@fikameet.com for any request we can’t fulfil through the app.
Changes
We’ll post updates to this policy on this page. Material changes will be announced via email to signed-in users.
